RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE

REDUCE THE STIGMA

YOU CAN SAVE A LIFE

Our Regional Overdose Prevention Specialists are here to help!
Tennessee's ROPS serve all 95 counties as points of contact for free training and education on opioid overdose and for overdose reversal through the distribution of naloxone (Opioid Overdose Reversal Medication). The ROPS have different backgrounds, including peer nurses in recovery, paramedics, and Certified Peer Recovery Specialists. The Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services has more than 20 ROPS operating in 13 regional divisions across the state. The ROPS are employees of their local Substance Abuse Prevention Coalitions and are equipped to connect people with treatment and recovery resources.
